just another sunny day.. in cali-for-ni-a

Good Morning everyone!  I unfortunately got awoken by Audrey and the Cable man at about 830 (on my day off!)... so I decided to try and make use of my early start to the day.  Its a perfect day out.. so I think i'ma go climb my local mountain (runyon canyon)  Do you do Runyon?  It just happens to be a new favorite place of mine.. for one its an amazing workout.. and somehow in the middle of the city of Los Angeles.. you feel like you are in some sort of tropical jungle.. a jungle with lots and lots of cute doggies running around! About halfway up.. you get and amazing view.. and if you make it to the top.. you will get an even more amazing view of the 'other' side of the hill...  After Runyon and a quick shower.. i'm off to the Standard pool for a few mid-day poolside cocktails.. than I have a photoshoot tonight! busy busy... :-)

As it is the official start to my weekend.. I thought I'd throw this lil tidbit of info to you.. the scene-sational DIM MAK is throwing a yard sale party on Hollywood this Sunday... Free beer and bbq and the usual overwhelming amount of neon colors mixed in with suspenders and flannel.

New Hotspot?

Good Afternoon people! Sorry about the late posting.. Audrey and I had quite a night last night.  Our amazing friend Chris Paul invited us to check out a new spot he was promoting for.. called 'the green door' on Ivar and Sunset (next to cabana). Per usual, Audrey and I made quite a late appearance, but this place is SURE to be the next Hollywood hotspot.  The decor inside is amazingly beautiful, we felt like we had walked into the boardgame 'clue', with the all the waiters and bartenders in tuxedo-style uniforms, and the cocktail waittresses in cutesy little black slip dresses, VERY trendy.  The bartender was AMAZING, well mannered, as were the door guys even down to the bus boys.  Everyone working there had great manners, and treated us like ladies, which is not so typical in the average douchebag LA club (eheemm lesdeux), ya know the places that bouncers act like they're doing you a favor letting you in, and the bartender is annoyed when you ask for an extra lime.  This place was graceful and elegant, not to mention, I  haven't seen that many good looking people in one place in a LONG time.  Everyone was dressed to the T.. most of the guys wearing upscale casual (casual suits, vests, ties), and most of the ladies in cocktail dresses.  We will for sure be back again. Another homerun for Chris Paul, this boy knows how to throw a party..  if you want to try and get into this place, be a hot girl in a small dress, or gentlemen, bring lots of girls in small dresses :).  Ok.. off to polish off the rest of my grilled cheese from in' n out.. and my french fries, and my extra large diet coke... than running to the store for my dosage of lact-aid.  hugs and kisses :)

Sunday night...do something nice for your brain...

As you already know, last Sunday night we visited The Bar for Down The Rabbit Hole...it was a great time and a MUCH need respite from a typical Hollywood night...Well because it was just so lovely we'll be heading back again this Sunday to check out an art show by Christopher Cuseo...You should all head out because his work is really quite inspiring and the scene will certainly soothe any weekend warriors nerves..hope to see you there..kisses Audrey ...

...Yes..its highly addictive, but there are much better things to do with your Sunday night than watch people live "the life" in Los Angeles, you could go live the life yourself..what a novel idea! Here are a few ideas to get you moving...

As we mentioned yesterday "Down The Rabbit Hole" at The Bar is going on tonight, the perfect way to unwind from the weekend..or ease into it if you're a true Angeleno ...;-)

Not quite legal? Head to Le Disko tonight for their one year anniversary...(and if you are legal..free vodka from 10-11!)

If its date night for you and your special gal then try Dominick's for $15 you'll get a three course meal, another $10 will get you a bottle of wine...and if she's still not liquored up enough after that head to the 21+ screening of I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry at the Arclight..show times are 7:15 and 9:55

Also going on Steve Aoki and DJ AM's regular Sunday night party Banana Split at LAX and half priced drinks at L'Scorpion...

The only place you should be tonight

You should got to Club Moscow tonight at Boardners...You should go because its put on by the darling Keith Wilson...You should also go because one of our favorite DJs Daniel LeDisko of L.A. Riots is spinning...and if that is still not enough for you to brave an 18+ night, then you should go because Emma Burgess is also set to perform and she does a cover of The Outfield's "Your Love" that transcends all cheese and actually borders on heartbreaking...and being broke is sooo not and excuse because its free before 10:30 pm with a flyer which is so perfect because Emma goes on at 10:00...see you there tonight! If its music and cheap drinks (2.50 PBR oh so eastside) you're craving tonight you should head to Silverlake to check out Pink Enemy play Club NME at Spaceland

Mr. Keith Wilson will be hosting his usual 18+ party Moscow tonight...so if you're underage or just looking to pick up on someone who is..head to Club Moscow at Boardners (1652 Hollywood Blvd.)

Loud music and gyrating teenagers sound like hell right now? How about a relaxing evening of reasonably priced drinks and arts and crafts at mostly gay bar Akbar...located at 4356 Sunset Blvd.

If you're thinking about doing Dinner tonight try O Bar in West Hollywood for  Tickle Me Wednesdays...For $30 you can have a three course meal AND a glass of champagne..yummy...

As for lalafabulous...well we will be catching up on some MUCH needed rest and relaxation...did someone say On Demand movie marathon?

I Never Thought I would Say This But...

The Library is hot...well actually not the library but Library Bar downtown...I was there last night with some friends before heading to the Spoon show at Little Radio..It was the perfect scene for catching up with old friends or cozying up with new ones...Not too crowded but not completely dead on a Monday night...the lighting is low with couches and candles to give a warm inviting vibe...Overall I might say this is the perfect date bar....hope that all made sense..this girl is EXHAUSTED xo Audrey

Another Friday in L.A....where will all of you beautiful babies be?

If you're up for the hastle..Red Carpet Events is throwing the Summer Launch Event For Rebellion Clothing at Privilege tonight...break out your Sunday best because admission is up to the discretion of the door staff...
